چکیده

While developing a large scale distributed system aimed at automating supply chain distribution facility the author came across the problem of enabling sharing unique equipment between two simultaneously executed phases of the project – test and production. This article summarises the experience gained by the author in the area of integration heterogeneous distributed large-scale systems being constrained by time and some limitations of the systems to be integrated such as predefined synchronous model of communication.

Adaptive Middleware Support and Autonomous Fault Treatment: Architectural Design, Prototyping and Experimental Evaluation

Networked computer systems are prevalent in most aspects of modern society, and we have become dependent on such computer systems to perform many critical tasks. Moreover, making such systems dependable is an important goal. However, dependability issues are often neglected when developing systems due to the complexities of the techniques involved. A common technique used to improve the dependa...

Access control in ultra-large-scale systems using a data-centric middleware

The primary characteristic of an Ultra-Large-Scale (ULS) system is ultra-large size on any related dimension. A ULS system is generally considered as a system-of-systems with heterogeneous nodes and autonomous domains. As the size of a system-of-systems grows, and interoperability demand between sub-systems is increased, achieving more scalable and dynamic access control system becomes an im...
